Five people were hospitalized in serious condition.
Several residential buildings near the city’s central train station caught fire. Medics are on the scene, Mayor Andriy Sadovyi wrote on Telegram, posting photos of the aftermath.
“Two schools will not start classes today: students of Arnika and (school #) 17 are staying at home,” he said.
“There are many broken windows in the area of Konovalets, Braty Mikhnovskikh, and Melnyk streets.”
Earlier in the morning, Kozytskyi warned of an increased threat of a Russian drone attack, with several of them spotted near the settlements of Dobrotvir and Pidkamin. Air defenses were deployed to repel the attack.
According to public broadcaster Suspilne, one Russian Shahed attack drone was headed toward Lviv, and another toward the nearby town of Bibrka.
Train delays were reported.

The attack on Lviv is part of a larger Russian drone, cruise and ballistic missiles attack on Ukraine. Explosions were heard in several cities including Kyiv, Rivne, Lursk, and Kryvyi Rih.
